    Senior Development Manager, Carseldine Village, Economic Development Queensland

    A Senior Development Manager with over seventeen years of experience with ASX-listed private developer and the last eleven years within Queensland Government’s urban development business unit, Economic Development Queensland (EDQ).  Kalon has a wide range of diverse skill sets, experiences, and achievements in the housing and mixed-use development sector across the South-East and Regional Remote Queensland. Kalon’s experience covers the entire development life cycle from the identification, community consultation, planning approvals, and assessment and creation of new development opportunities through the delivery of master-planned communities. Kalon holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Property Economics) from Queensland University of Technology and was nominated on the Dean’s List for Excellence in Academic Performance.

    Brooke Walters is a seasoned advisor with over 20 years of experience in driving sustainability and innovation in clean energy. Currently, she leads Economic Development Queensland's sustainability and innovation strategy, focusing on climate change response and First Nations participation. Brooke is committed to merging her expertise with her passion for clean energy solutions and sustainable growth practices.

    Marisa Graetz

    Development Manager, Carseldine Village, Economic Development Queensland

    Marisa has over 24 years of experience in planning and development. In her role with the Urban Development Team at Economic Development Queensland (EDQ). Marisa’s experience includes over 13 years in the Queensland government, working on high-profile projects for EDQ and the Planning Group. These include Carseldine Village, Toondah Harbour, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane, the Brisbane Showgrounds, Northshore Hamilton, and the establishment of the State Assessment and Referral Agency (SARA). She also has 11 years experience working as a consulting town planner. Marisa has an extensive working knowledge of the Queensland planning and development system, experience with a diverse range of developments, and solid project management skills. She has a strong work ethic; enjoys collaborative partnerships and is passionate about getting the job done. Marisa holds a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning from the University of Queensland.

Melissa commenced her career as a Registered Nurse receiving her Bachelor of Nursing from Griffith University, a Graduate Certificate in Health Management from QUT, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern QLD. Early in her clinical career, Melissa found her passion for the Aged Care sector and has since worked in a variety of specialties both in Australia and internationally. Before joining Rockpool as the CEO, Melissa was the Regional General Manager for Healthcare Business at Westpac, QLD. Melissa led the successful implementation and achievement of the Westpac Healthcare business strategy leading a direct team of Business relationship managers resulting in exceptional business outcomes, banker capability, and staff culture. Melissa is committed to leading a culture of excellence that always focuses on the resident and their family, ensuring professionalism, quality outcomes, and collaborative practice.
