Join ULI Australia and the Sydney YLG for an exclusive walking tour around Warrane - Circular Quay. Traditional land of the Gadigal people, the site of colonisation, the location of commerce of main point of arrival to an emerging colony, and now Sydney’s doorstep to the world, Warrane – Circular Quay has been a pivotal location for the ever-changing Sydney CBD for the last 200 years. This walking tour will give attendees a Sydney-sider’s perspective of our city’s famous front door.

Starting by the harbour, adjacent to the MCA, the tour will then visit the emerging laneways of Quay Quarter and Sydney Place and explore their vibrant new dining and retail precincts, alongside visiting historic sandstone buildings embracing a whole new lease on life such as Customs House, Hinchcliff House and the Education Building / Capella Hotel. Hear from speakers heavily involved in each development as we delve into the topics of placemaking, art, F&B, retail, design and heritage, and explore the role they play in creating vibrant public places that a city, its residents and visitors alike can embrace. The tour will finish exploring Sydney’s regenerated and pedestrianised “spine” of George St and Sydney Place Plaza, ending up at the newly opened Jackson’s on George rooftop bar where you can join us for some drinks, nibbles and networking.

On this tour we’ll hear from the following exciting speakers, all heavily involved in the design, planning, place making, curation and operation of the latest projects around Warrane – Circular Quay:
